Smart Studio Pricing: The Bottomless 10 Pack Could Be Your Answer to Revenue Growth
For boutique fitness studios, pricing is one of the most important levers for growth, and one of the biggest parts of my job as a fitness business coach. The right offer does more than generate revenue. It supports client consistency, improves retention, and creates a clear path from casual attendance to long-term commitment. On the other hand, I see a ton of pricing models that encourage clients to purchase options that don’t support the studio, like dirt-cheap unlimited offers that plug classes and cost the studio money in the long run. Or sky-high packages that alienate potential loyal members before they even get a chance to fall in love with the studio. Unsurprisingly, it’s important that we get it right.
One of my favorite offers right now that most studios haven’t tried yet is the Bottomless 10 Pack: a class package that renews automatically once all the sessions are used, so it functions more like a membership while still offering the flexibility that so many clients crave.
It also fills an important gap in some studios’ pricing model. It appeals to clients who want to attend regularly but are hesitant to commit to a fixed number of classes per month, and it generates recurring revenue without requiring an all-or-nothing commitment.
And my studio owners who have implemented love it, too. Let’s break it down to see if it’s a good fit for your studio.
First, What Is a Bottomless 10 Pack?
A Bottomless 10 Pack differs from a traditional class pack. Instead of purchasing 10 classes in a single transaction, clients enroll in an ongoing 10-pack that renews once all sessions are used. It’s less expensive than your standard ten-pack, but more than a membership.
In practice, it looks like this:
A client purchases a 10-class pack.
Once all ten classes are completed, the pack renews automatically.
The client must renew at least once.
The client enjoys a use-it-as-you-need-it package at a better rate, pairing flexibility with affordability for a hybrid offer between the flexibility of a class pack and the stability of recurring membership revenue.
Real Studio Results
Now, I’m not saying I “invented” the concept, but I had the idea a few years ago while talking to one of my long-term clients, who owns a yoga studio. We were lamenting how hard it was to sell memberships in the post-Covid landscape and brainstorming possible solutions that would make everyone happy. “What about a Bottomless ten pack?” I threw out. She was in. Since that launch three years ago, it has become one of her strongest-performing membership options.
Here is what her sales have looked like:
Q4 2023: 11 sold
2024: 116 sold for the year
Current as of February 2026:70
The owner shared that more than 30% of these clients renew each month, far exceeding our expectations, and that nearly 50% of her memberships are now bottomless ten-pack clients.
These results highlight an important point: when structured correctly, this offer is not just a small add-on. It can become a consistent driver of revenue, retention, and client satisfaction.
Since rolling it out with this studio owner in 2023, I’ve recommended the package in at least a dozen studios, with similar results in most cases.
Why This Offer Works So Well
The Bottomless 10 Pack is a unicorn package because it meets both studio needs and client preferences.
1. It Appeals to Clients Who Want Flexibility
Not every client is ready for a membership. Many people attend regularly, but still want the freedom to travel, cross-train, or adjust their routine seasonally (I’m one of them!)
Studios often price traditional 10-packs higher to encourage clients to sign up for memberships - which I obviously agree with- but this middle ground recurring package can be an attractive sweet spot.
2. It gives clients structure without feeling restrictive.
Autorenewing still whispers to the client, “Consistency will help you reach your goals,” without leaving them feeling penalized if they have a bad couple of weeks and miss sessions. Clients feel they are receiving flexibility and savings, while the studio benefits from continuity.
3. It Creates a Clear Retention Path
A one-time class pack is an easy exit point. Clients finish their sessions, intend to re-purchase, but eventually disappear. The bottomless structure keeps clients connected to the studio and encourages ongoing participation without requiring a major upfront commitment.
What This Could Mean for Your Studio
If you are looking for ways to increase predictable revenue while maintaining flexibility for your clients, the Bottomless 10 Pack is worth considering.
It can be especially effective for studios that want to:
Offer an alternative to traditional membership models.
Reduce reliance on one-time class pack purchases.
Improve retention among semi-committed clients.
Introduce a mid-tier recurring option that feels approachable.
Remember, it shouldn’t be as attractive as your traditional memberships both in pricing and in member perks, so you don’t lose committed members. However, it is an effective save-the-sale tool for a member who wants to cancel because they’re not attending consistently enough to justify the membership.
Final Reminders From A Coach:
Before you run out to implement a new magic solution, remember to strategize your offering so you don’t end up angry in my inbox. Your bottomless ten pack should be:
Priced higher than other memberships but lower than the one-time current packages.
SUPER clear in the fine print. You don’t want people yelling in your inbox either. Make sure the client knows this package will renew at least once and will continue renewing until they cancel. I’d even consider a signed contract or putting “Auto-renews” in the package title.
Set it up to automatically repurchase immediately after the last class is used. Your booking software can handle this; it just needs to be double-checked.
Your pricing should help your studio shape client behavior, support retention, and attract your ideal client. And it often determines how sustainable your studio becomes over time.
The Bottomless 10 Pack works because it aligns with how many clients actually want to engage: consistently, but with flexibility built in for real life. As I’ve seen multiple times, it also has the potential to become one of the strongest revenue opportunities within a boutique fitness pricing model.
